Come along to this regular online library research drop-in session, aimed at Master of Public Health (MPH) students working on systematic searches.

You can get guidance on all aspects of your systematic search including:

  • Getting started - looking at where and how to begin your search

  • Identifying search concepts and keywords

  • Finding, choosing and using relevant databases for your topic

  • Using boolean operators (AND/OR) and search techniques such as wildcards, proximity searching, and truncation

  • Using subject headings (such as MeSH) to further enhance your search

  • Supplementary searching

  • Exporting results to reference management software

  • Deduplicating results in reference management software

  • Using Endnote or Rayyan for screening

  • Reporting your search and following PRISMA guidelines

These are informal sessions.  There is no set content or agenda, just come along with your questions and queries and chat them through with Izzy. Registration is required, but drop in at any time during the hour.
