Dissertation Writing Clinic (Undergraduates) In-Person
This session is open to all Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) students.
Your dissertation may be the biggest piece of writing that you do for your degree. This session is designed to support you in that ‘final push’ of writing.
The Dissertation Writing Clinic is a supportive space where you can dedicate some focused time to your writing, with an Academic Skills Adviser present to answer questions and offer support and guidance.

What kind of support can I expect?

Advice on your sources and literature review

Check that your style is appropriate, your structure is logical, and your writing is coherent

Guidance on referencing, including paraphrasing, summarising and referencing style format

Advice on editing and proofreading, including ways to ‘cut down’ your word count

Advice about time management.
